According to a statement from the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the programme also takes into consideration the process of Croatia's accession to the European Union and its observer status in the International Organisation of Francophony.
The programme aims to further promote the French language in Croatia and the Croatian language in France as well as cultural exchanges between the two countries.
The document was signed by the State Secretary for Political Issues of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Hido Biscevic, and the Director-General for International Cooperation and Development of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Philippe Etienne.
According to the statement, France has designated Croatia as a priority country for cooperation in Southeast Europe. Both countries are very pleased with the fulfilment of the provisions of the previous three-year programme and expect good results to continue in the future.
