Good and friendly relations between the two countries, which are also connected by many Croats living in Canada, must do all they can to achieve a constant growth in economic cooperation, Vukelic said.
He said that state institutions in both countries were creating conditions for future cooperation, adding however, that at the end it was up to business people from Canada and Croatia to recognise their own interests in making new deals and establishing business connections.
In 2006 Croatia exported to Canada 15.3 million US dollars in goods or 34 percent more than in 2005. Imports from Canada last year totalled 31.5 million dollars or 23 percent more than in 2005 The coverage of imports with exports was 49 percent.
