Sanader was speaking at a Croatian-Bosnian business forum on possibilities of economic cooperation and investment, held in Sarajevo on Thursday.
The forum was attended by representatives of some 70 Croatian companies.
Sanader said that he and his Bosnian counterpart Nikola Spiric had agreed today on closer cooperation between the two governments in order to promote trade.
"This economic forum is a sign of friendship between Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia. There can be no wealthy Croatia without a wealthy Bosnia-Herzegovina and vice versa," Sanader said.
He stressed that the future of Croatia and Bosnia lay in Euro-Atlantic associations.
Bosnian Prime Minister Nikola Spiric said that Croatia was one of Bosnia's most important trade partners. In 2006 Bosnia exported around 507 million euros worth of goods to Croatia, while Croatia exported around 1.37 billion euros worth of commodities to Bosnia.
A vice-president of the Croatian Chamber of the Economy, Dunja Konjevod, said that Croatia accounted for around 15% of foreign investments in Bosnia in 2006.
The president of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Stojan Zupljanin, said that Bosnia was not satisfied with trade with Croatia because imports from Croatia were several times higher than Bosnian exports to Croatia.
Zupljanin pointed to the import of Croatian agricultural produce, which he said was six and a half times higher than Bosnia's exports to Croatia.
He added that the two countries could promote the joint management of the labour market to help increase the export of Bosnian labour force to foreign markets.
Zupljanin announced that the two countries' railway companies would sign a cooperation agreement later in the day.
