Speaking at a HDZ rally held on the occasion of the party's 17th anniversary in the southern Croatian town of Omis on Saturday, Sanader said that the time of blanket accusations and blaming an entire party for a certain event had passed.
We demand that everything be investigated and that guilt be individualised which is why we cannot accept the position of the Social Democrats who claim that the HDZ is to blame for the Brodosplit scandal," the PM said.
The SDP holds Economy Minister Branko Vukelic politically responsible for concluding harmful contracts in his capacity as chairman of the supervisory board of the Brodosplit shipyard, which resulted in six million US dollars of damage to the Split-based company.
Sanader also announced for June the opening of sections of the Zagreb-Split-Dubrovnik Highway between Dugopolje and Setanovac in the Omis hinterland.
