VRBOVEC, Jan 14 (Hina) - The Peasant Party (HSS) and the Social
Liberals (HSLS) will put to parliament a joint bill on the decentralisation of
government and money in Croatia as well as on local self government as the
existing legislation is not satisfactory, party leaders said on Sunday. The bill will be in accordance with European Union achievements so the
government and parliament will have no reason to turn it down, HSS leader Josip
Friscic told the press in Vrbovec.
HSLS president Djurdja Adlesic said the two parties would agree their
election platforms which would provide the foundation of their future
coalition.
Friscic and Adlesic voiced concern about the course of the campaign for
the elections later this year, saying it had started with scandals and not
topics of interest to citizens, which they added the HSS and the HSLS
advocated.
