VUKOVAR, Jan 14 (Hina) - Members of the 1991-1992 democratic unity government visited the eastern town of Vukovar on Sunday on the anniversary of Croatia's international recognition 15 years ago.

The visit was supported by the Croatian Harmony Forum civic association.

Former prime minister Franjo Greguric, deputy prime minister Milan Ramljak and other democratic unity government members, including Zdravko Tomac, Mate Granic, Drazen Budisa, Zarko Domljan and Nikica Valentic, were received by Mayor Tomislav Sota, Deputy Mayor Vladimir Emedi, county prefect Bozo Galic, and member of parliament Vladimir Stengl.

Ramljak said they had come to Vukovar to pay respects to the heroic city and its residents and all those who had died defending it.

Budisa said Vukovar's victims were embedded in Croatia's foundations and deserved more credit for its international recognition than politicians, presidents, the parliament and the government.

The members of the democratic unity government also visited the Homeland War Victims Memorial Cemetery and the Ovcara memorial site.
