Merino fleece prices were cheaper, with the 19 micron indicator 1.5 percent cheaper and 20/21m slightly cheaper. The 22m category was 0.5 percent cheaper and 23/24/25/26m 1.0 percent cheaper, WI said. Merino skirtings were generally unchanged. In crossbreds, 27m was unchanged, 28m 0.5 percent dearer, 29/31m up to 0.5 percent cheaper and 30m 1.0 percent cheaper. Cardings were slightly cheaper, WI said. WI said Japanese and Chinese interests were principal buyers with good support from Taiwan. Of 31,420 bales offered in both centres, 10.8 percent were passed in. Sales continue on Wednesday in Sydney, Adelaide and Fremantle with about 42,000 bales to be offered. _________________________________________________________________ Bradford - cijene vune - 11. studenoga 1996. cijene u penijima/kg _________________________________________________________________ MERINO CROSSBRED 70s SUPER 495 58s SUPER 366 66s SUPER 443 58s BLENDED 345 64s SUPER 396 56s SUPER 352 64s BLENDED 392 54s CARDED 336 60s SUPER 372 50s CARDED 325 60s BLENDED 358 58s ENGLISH 279 56s ENGLISH 269 50s ENGLISH 265 Bradford wool market sees prices largely unchanged BRADFORD, Nov 11 (Reuter) - Tops prices were unchanged on Monday with the exception of English 58s and 56s which fell one pence per kg, trade sources said. With little dramatic movement in sterling against the mark and resistance pegged at around 2.49, the market remained fairly calm. The marginal easing in values for English types was generally taken as a sign that the price rise for raw-state topmaking wools at the last UK auction would not be maintained at the next sale on 13th November. But some sources are growing nervous about the tame level of trade as the Christmas recess nears. "Although producers are reluctant to accept bid below costs, this kind of business is still being done," one source said. 130942 MET nov 96
