March cotton settled 0.65 cent firmer at 74.55 cents, traded between 74.64 and 74.20 cents. Volume was estimated at 7,500 lots compared to Tuesday's 6,035 lots. One merchant was noted to be buying on the lows, but not enough to push the market significantly higher, a floor source said.
