However, most of the session was rangebound with the day's spread at less than a cent for the most active contract. Participants waited for early fund follow through to Friday's selling, but it did not appear, a broker said. On Tuesday before the market opens, a spec/hedge report is expected to show that speculators have become net short in the market. "This would be friendly for the market," the broker added. Some good mill price fixation was also noted by floor sources. March cotton settled 0.41 cent firmer at 74.18 cents per pound, traded 74.30 to 73.45 cents.
