WASHINGTON, July 15 (Hina) - The Rebuild Dubrovnik Fund has
announced that 150,000 dollars have been gathered so far for the
aid in the reconstruction of the war-stricken palaces in the
Croatian city of Dubrovnik.
Ms. Nazli Weiss, the executive vice president of the Fund
with the seat in Washington, has said that the Rebuild Dubrovnik
Fund has received a special donation of 55,850 dollars from the
Boston Grand Circle Foundation, for the repairs on the Dubrovnik
famous street "Stradun". The Boston Grand Circle Foundation has
promised to donate additional 16,000 dollars, as the preliminary
cost estimate for the reconstruction of "Stradun" amounts to 71,000
dollars.
During last May the Rebuild Dubrovnik Fund organized the
visits of journalists and travel correspondents of magazines from
the U.S.A., Canada and Great Britain to the Croatian capital of
Zagreb, Opatija, Korcula, Hvar and Dubrovnik.
