GENEVA, June 4 (Hina) - No considerable progress has been made in
comparison to previous talks that we led with representatives of
the "contact group" in the French town of Talloires ten days ago.
said the President of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina,
Kresimir Zubak upon today's talks between Croat-Bosniac
Federation's delegation and representatives of the U.S.A., Russia,
the European Union (EU) and the United Nations in Geneva.
The "contact group" proposed that there would be a Serb
corridor through the Bosnian Posavina ( in the right side of the
Sava valley, northern Bosnia-Herzegovina) that should pass mostly
through Serb-held areas. The "contact group" respected demands of
Croats and Bosniacs (Moslems) to have corridors between Livno and
Bihac as well as between Bihac and Jajce. The Bosniac (Moslem) side
led by Haris Silajdzic refused suggestions given by the "contact
group" on the disengagement lines in eastern Bosnia.
As a German diplomat Steiner had informed Zubak, the Serb
delegation definitely rejected all proposals on the territorial
division.
During the talks focused on the possible constitutional
arrangement of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the president of the Federation
of B-H, Kresimir Zubak proposed that Bosnia-Herzegovina should be a
composite state made up of two units: the Federation of B-H and the
Serb-held part.
