VALPARAISO, May 4 (Hina) - On the final day of his visit to Chile
and South American countries, Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic
visited the Chilean Parliament where he met the speakers of both
houses and members of the foreign affairs committee for talks about
development and strengthening of Croatian-Chilean relations.
Talks with Senate president Gabriel Valdes focused on the
importance of the Croatian community in Chile as a major link in
relations between the two countries.
The Croatian foreign minister was also received by Archbishop
of Santiago Carlos Oviedo Cavada.
The Croatian delegation is leaving Santiago this evening and
is expected back in Zagreb on Thursday evening.
