ZAGREB, March 24 (Hina) - VJESNIK leads with a front-page report
on a Government session which debated this week's agreement with
the Paris Club on rescheduling Croatia's foreign debt. The
article is headlined "Croatian Bonds On International Stock
Exchanges."
"Opposition Parties Walk Out Of Parliament" is the headline
of a report on a House of Representatives session.
Also on the front page is an article headlined "UN
Peacekeeping Force Headquarters To Remain in Zagreb" and an
article on Parliament speaker Nedjeljko Mihanovic's meeting with
European parliamentarians.
Vjesnik includes a comment piece headlined "HDZ Unites
Opposition", on Opposition leaders' views on a decision to end
live broadcasts of parliamentary sessions.
Another commentary comes from the Vjesnik Belgrade
correspondent under the headline "Serbia Gets A Reward, Croatia A
Gesture".
The other Zagreb daily, VECERNJI LIST, leads with the
headline "Recognition Along With Lifting Of Sanctions" on new
initiatives to solve the crisis in the former Yugoslavia.
In its coverage of the Government session, Vecernji List
says that a further drop in prices is possible.
"Only Firm Border Control Is Acceptable" is a headline
introducing a report on the House of Representatives session
which debated a new UN mandate for Croatia.
Vecernji List runs a comment piece on rebel Croatian Serb
leaders, under the headline "Lunatic Asylum Opened."
