ZAGREB, March 23 (Hina) - Today's VJESNIK leads with the coverage
of Foreign Minister Mate Granic's report to the House of
Representatives, under the headline "Heated Debate on Granic's
Report."
Also on the front page are articles on the official visit by
Italian Foreign Minister Susann Agnelli and on the beginning of
repair works on the Nova Gradiska-Okucani railway.
Vjesnik includes a commentary on the recent election of a
Social Liberal deputy as the first parliamentary deputy speaker.
"Tuning For a New Round of Talks" is the headline of an
article by the Vjesnik Paris correspondent, saying that French
Foreign Minister Juppe has accepted an initiative by his German
counterpart Kinkel for a new ministerial meeting of Contact Group
countries to restart negotiations on solving the crisis in the
former Yugoslavia.
The other Zagreb daily, VECERNJI LIST, opens with a headline
"UNFIC (UN Force in Croatia) For A Term Of Six Months" on the
Foreign Minister's report to Parliament.
Following a recent agreement with the Paris Club on
rescheduling Croatia's foreign debt, Vecernji List carries an
article headlined "A Chance For Fresh Capital."
Vecernji List also reports on the front page of a traffic
