Autor:
ZAGREB, March 13 (Hina) - Following is the full text of a statemet by the Presidential Office on today's talks in Zagreb between the state delegations of Croatia and Indonesia: "As part of a state visit by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency General Suharto, to the President of the the Republic of Croatia, Franjo Tudjman, talks were held on 13 March 1995 by members of the delegations of the two countries, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mate Granic of Croatia and Foreign Minister Ali Alatas of Indonesia. The Indonesian delegation also included Secretary of State Mr. Moerdiono, Ambassador and Assistant Chairman of the Nonaligned Movement Mr. Nana Sutresna, Ambassador to Croatia Soelaeman Pringgodigdo, Ambassador to the UN in New York Mr. Nugroho Wisnumurti, General Director of the Foreign Ministry's Political Department Mr. Izhar Ibrahim, and Special Assistant at the Foreign Ministry Mr. Soenarto Soedarno. The Croatian delegation included Chief Presidential Economic Adviser Mr. Franjo Greguric, Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Communications Mr. Ivica Mudrinic, Economic Minister Mr. Nadan Vidosevic, Presidential Foreign Policy Adviser Mr. Zeljko Matic, and Assistant Foreign Minister Mr. Smiljan Simac. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mate Granic, informed the Indonesian delegation of talks in Copenhagen on 12 March 1995 between the President of Croatia and the Vice President of the United States of America, Al Gore, and of favourable prospects for accelerating the peaceful reintegration of occupied Croatian territories as part of a new mandate which was to be adopted by the international community in agreement with the Republic of Croatia, regarding the expiry of the UN Protection Force mandate. Both sides expressed almost identical views on the crisis in Bosnia-Herzegovina and their full support for the achievement of goals set by the Washington accords on establishing a Croat- Moslem federation in Bosnia-Herzegovina and linking it in a confederation to the Republic of Croatia. Both sides expressed confidence that under present circumstances it was necessary that the international community make additional efforts to win the acceptance of the Contact Group plan by Bosnian Serbs. They also expressed concern about the development of events in Bosnia-Herzegovina and about what could happen if the cessation of hostilities agreement were not extended after it expired on 30 July 1995. The two delegations expressed satisfaction with the progress of mutual relations between Croatia and Indonesia both at political and economic levels. Nonaligned countries are to hold a preliminary ministerial meeting in Bandungo, Indonesia, and Croatia is to attend as an observer. At that meeting Indonesia and Croatia are to sign agreements on economic and technological cooperation, investment protection, double taxation, and most likely on air and sea transport. That will be a very important step and a framework for further development of economic cooperation," the statement concluded. (hina) vm 131617 MET mar 95
