ZAGREB, Mar 1 (Hina) - After a meeting between members of the
delegation of the European Union Christian Democratic party (EUCD)
and president of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) Franjo
Tudjman, and HDZ high officals, the following was revealed.
HDZ Vice-President, Mate Granic said that the talks
concentrated on the the "current situation in the Republic of
Croatia, particularly its occupied territories, in light of our
decision to cancel the UNPROFOR mandate."
President Tudjman, once again repeated Croatia's determination
for peacefully reintegrating (the occupied areas), with the
assistance of the international community, Granic said.
He explained that President Tudjman's message was very well
received and that the EUCD would soon consider admitting HDZ to
full membership.
"Leader of the EUCD delegation Wim van Velzen, said that their
recommmendation would be positive," Granic said.
