OSIJEK, March 1 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament member, Ivica Vrkic,
today forwarded an open letter to the Croatian Foreign Minister,
Mate Granic, protesting over a statement by UN Secretary General
Boutros-Boutros Ghali about creating some kind of new Yugoslavia in
the territory of the newly established countries.
The letter expressed hope that the Croatian government would
urgently respond regarding this matter.
Ghali should be asked whose interests he represented by not
supporting the UN resolutions and decisions or Croatia's interests
as a UN member, Vrkic said.
"Doesn't this statement prove that Ghali openly supports the
so-called Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro) and recognises war and
occupation as legitimate means for Serbia to achieve its colonial
expansion in the territories of Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina",
Vrkic said.
