ZAGREB, Feb 22 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister, Mate Granic,
today received US Ambassador to Croatia, Peter Galbraith, at his
request.
Granic and Galbraith discussed the situation in the Croatia's
occupied territories, Croatia's decision to end the UNPROFOR
mandate and likely developments in Bosnia-Herzegovina after Serbs
rejected latest international diplomatic initiatives, a statement
from the Foreign Ministry said.
Croatia and the US agreed that the advantages of the good
relations between Croatia and the United States should be
continued and used to facilitate closer cooperation to find
solutions for further negotiations and peaceful reintegration of
Croatia's occupied areas.
Granic and Galbright also discussed efforts for the justified
peace in the neighbouring Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina and US
support for the strengthening the process of Bosnian Federation,
the statement said.
