VITEZ, Feb 7 (Hina) - UN Secretary-General's special envoy, Yasushi
Akashi, Tuesday visited the British UN battalion's camp near Vitez,
central Bosnia.
Akashi, accompanied by the British battalion's commander,
Brigadier Edwards, and the civilian affairs chief, Brigadier
Carter, visited Novi Travnik today as well.
The UN special envoy and representatives of Bosniac and
Croatian authorities toured the damaged department store lying on a
disengagement line.
In Novi Travnik Akashi visited the kindergarten, and he toured
the village of Zubici, which is included in a pilot-programme for
the return of the displaced people.
After Akashi expressed his satisfaction with the visit, he
travelled to the municipality of Vitez this afternoon.
