ZAGREB, Feb 13 (Hina) - Croatian President's Office head and the
Croatian Government's Chief Negotiator with local Serbs, Hrvoje
Sarinic, today met for talks with the Co-Chairmen of the
International Conference on Former Yugoslavia (ICFY), Lord David
Owen and Thorvald Stoltenberg, and Ambassador Kai Aide.
After the one-and-half-hour talks Owen stressed the importance
of the December 2 Economic Agreement between the Croatian
Government and local Serbs.
Owen said that it was very important how the implementation of
the December 2 Agreement would continue in the following weeks and
months.
Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic was not involved in the
negotiations between Zagreb and Knin, Owen said.
Sometimes Milosevic assisted in them, but such negotiations
were basically between Zagreb and Knin, Owen added.
