DJAKOVO, Oct 31 (Hina) - Roman Catholic Bishop of Djakovo and
Sirmium, Msgr. Ciril Kos, sent a message to the faithful ahead of
the All Saints' Day.
"We thank the transitional administration in the Croatian
Danubian area and international powers for making it possible this
year for us to visit 30 towns and villages, and tour cemeteries
where we have not been for more than five years," Bishop Kos said
adding that the access to some graveyards in the area would be
impossible for security reasons.
"An unlimited number (of displaced persons-visitors) to every
village and town is also not possible, but let us accept with
gratitude what has been ensured," the Bishop said in the message.
The Bishop voiced an ardent hope that next year all expelled
people would be enabled to visit cemeteries in entire Baranja,
eastern Slavonia and western Sirmium.
He called on the faithful to pay a dignified visit to the
graveyards tomorrow, and asked them to have love in their hearts
and to "repay evil by good".
