SLANO, Oct 19 (Hina) - Humanitarian help from the European Community Humanitarian Office (ECHO) for Croatia arrived in Slano on Saturday. The help is intended for residents of Ston and the Dubrovnik coastal area (south of Croatia),
victims of the recent earthquake that hit the region in September.

Some 17.85 tons of flour were sent for the local bakery which
gives out free bread to the residents, and 1,200 note books and
pencils were sent for the children of Slano (some 20 kilometres
north-west of Dubrovnik).
ECHO is the first international organization which sent 50
tons of help in food and hygienic necessities to the residents on
September 6, after the first big quake.
