ZAGREB, June 23 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on Monday
received the president of the International Court for Sea Law, Thomas
Mensah, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Granic stressed that Croatia, as a maritime country with a long-
standing maritime tradition, supported the activity of the International
Court for Sea Law, especially in settling disputes concerning maritime
zones, fishing and sea protection.
Mensah, visiting Croatia for the first time since his appointment
as president of the International Court for Sea Law, expressed great
satisfaction with the appointment of Budislav Vukas as the Court's judge
which, as Mensah said, only confirmed the great contribution of Croatian
experts and scientists to the development of sea law.
Croatia's foreign minister acquainted his guest with the course of
the Croatian Danube region's peaceful reintegration. After the process
was completed Croatia would, according to Granic, direct its efforts at
interior development and the realization of all strategic goals in view
of political, economic and security Euroatlantic integrations, the
statement by the Croatian Foreign Ministry concluded.
