DUBROVNIK, June 16 (Hina) - The course in international law of the sea
begins in Dubrovnik on June 16 and will last until June 21.
The motive of this year's course is the 15th anniversary of
adoption of the UN Convention on the law of the sea that contains
fundamental regulations on all important issues concerning research, use
and protection of the sea.
The course is being led by Professor Budislav Vukas of Zagreb Law
Faculty, whereas lecturers have come from Athens, Hamburg, Ljubljana,
Oslo, Rijeka, Split, Zagreb and Dubrovnik.
The President of the international sea law court, Thomas Mensah,
will also give a lecture.
Present at the course are also Croatian experts in research and
protection of the sea and its biological resources.
