According to the residents, the Moslem police officers had not
issued any receipts for the money they had received.
Officers at the Ravne-Brcko police station, which, according
to the Dayton Agreement, is responsible for security at the market,
expressed surprise with the conduct of the Moslem police.
Officials at the "McGavern" SFOR base near Brcko were informed
about the incident.
Police officers at the Brcko police station who are making an
inquiry in the incident said that they would ask officials of the
Tuzla County Interior Ministry for explanations because it was a
classical criminal act which could have deep political
consequences.
