ZAGREB, Oct 5 (Hina) - Croatia on Monday celebrated International
Children's Day.
Schools and kindergartens across the country marked the October 5
occasion with games, drawings, song and dance dedicated to the life
of children in the world.
The alliance of Our Children of Croatia societies is organising
Children's Week under the motto "Love for Children Above All".
During the week entertainment, games, children's fairs, and visits
to sick children undergoing rehabilitation will be organised in all
Croatian towns.
Children will also clean up their playgrounds and schoolyards and
present their inventions.
The UN General Assembly decided in 1954 that this day would be
marked across the world. The aim of the day is to remind all adults
of their responsibilities and obligations towards children.
