167 KOSOVO ALBANIANS KILLED IN LAST SERBIAN OFFENSIVE

( Editorial: --> 4867 ) PRISTINA, Oct 2 (Hina) - The Serbs have killed 167 Kosovo Albanians from August 22 when they began an offensive on the area of Drenica and the Cicavica Mountain, the Kosovo Information Centre in Pristina reported on Thursday. According to the source, among the killed were 18 persons over 60, 15 children under 18, and 13 women. The Kosovo Association of Albanian Political Prisoners called on International Community on Thursday to help in stopping the Serbian massacres over Kosovo Albanians. The request was forwarded to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, the UN Security Council, NATO Secretary-General Javier Solana, United States President Bill Clinton, and NATO and Contact Group member- countries. The Association pointed out that a new crime in Gornja Obrinja, a village near Drenica, was committed just several days after the adoption of a UN Security Council Resolution on Kosovo.
