MOSTAR, 8 Aug (Hina) - After having blockaded the border crossings
between Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina with their vehicles for
four days, farmers from Herzegovina decided to move their vehicles
on Friday night.
All border crossings are open for traffic, the Herzeg-Bosnia Motor
Club said.
The decision to remove the blockade followed yesterday's decision
of Croat officials in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton to purchase
surplus agricultural products from the farmers.
The reason for the farmers' protest was their dissatisfaction with
stricter customs control and payment of regular customs tariffs for
goods which were not produced in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
