At the talks with the leader of the strongest Croatian opposition party, Jones voiced satisfaction with the development of American-Croatian relations during the term of the previous Croatian coalition government.
Jones also relayed the wish of Washington to see more intensive engagement of Croatia in the US-led international peace operations, the release said.
Racan too voiced satisfaction with the relations which Croatia had with the USA during the term of the coalition government which he led.
Having in mind the imminent start of Croatia's entry talks with the European Union, Racan voiced interest in good relations and partnership between Washington and Brussels.
