ZAGREB, Oct 27 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Wednesday decided tosend into parliamentary procedure amendments to the Law on the Officefor the Fight Against Organised Crime and Corruption (USKOK)regulating the possibility of
USKOK to directly seek from a bankinformation on suspicious transactions, notably transactions believedto be connected with organised crime.
ZAGREB, Oct 27 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Wednesday decided
to send into parliamentary procedure amendments to the Law on the Office for
the Fight Against Organised Crime and Corruption (USKOK) regulating the
possibility of USKOK to directly seek from a bank information on suspicious
transactions, notably transactions believed to be connected with organised
crime.The Ivo Sanader cabinet also sent into parliamentary procedure a draft
law on rescue operations which envisages the establishment of 112 centres,
namely emergency call police centres, in accordance with the European Union
practice.
The draft law also envisages setting up a state directorate for
emergency situations and rescue operations.
