ZAGREB, Nov 2 (Hina) - Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on Tuesday held ameeting with the leader of the Croatian Pensioners' Party (HSU),Vladimir Jordan, and representatives of associations of Croatiannationals who earned pensions while
working in Bosnia-Herzegovina andSerbia-Montenegro before the war in 1990s.
ZAGREB, Nov 2 (Hina) - Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on Tuesday held a
meeting with the leader of the Croatian Pensioners' Party (HSU), Vladimir
Jordan, and representatives of associations of Croatian nationals who earned
pensions while working in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia-Montenegro before the
war in 1990s.They asked the government to formulate a specific law regulating the
rights of this category of citizens who now, according to the Croatian
Television's prime news broadcast on Tuesday evening, receive monthly pensions
ranging from only nine to 100 euros.
There are some 24,000 retirees with such low pensions, the television
said.
