At the time when the crime in Paulin Dvor occurred, Gorinsek was
commander of the Osijek Operations Zone in eastern Croatia.
In a statement to Hina on Friday, Gorinsek dismissed the accusation,
saying he had been cleared of Susak's allegations at the Paulin Dvor
trial before the Osijek County Court.
The trial ended on April 8, when the accused Nikola Ivanovic was found
guilty of war crimes against civilians committed in Paulin Dvor and
sentenced to 12 years' imprisonment.
Gorinsek said he had been questioned before the trial and testified
during the main hearing.
He accused Liberal Party leader Ivo Banac of standing behind the
charges due to clashes within the party. Banac denies this in
Saturday's issue of Slobodna Dalmacija daily.
