Former policemen Luka Markesic, Zdenko Radic and Ivan Orlovic and
their colleague still in active service, Zoran Maras, will again stand
trial for executing the six prisoners of war in a wood outside
Bjelovar in October 1991.
The Supreme Court said in a statement released on its Internet site on
Friday it did not agree with the verdict handed down by the Bjelovar
court that the guilt of the accused was not proved, and ordered that
additional witnesses be heard during the retrial.
