Jelinicic on Friday slammed Mesic for what he labelled as
nationalistic statements and criticised Slovenia's government for
failing to respond to this act of "interference in the internal
affairs" of the neighbouring country.
"Our party expects Mesic not to repeat historical mistakes and to
discontinue making arbitrary acts and unilateral decisions in a bid to
claim territories outside the Croatian borders," reads a press release
of Jelincic's Slovene National Party (SNS) carried by the Slovene
agency STA.
On Friday, the party handed over the list with its candidates who will
run in the election for the European Parliament, which is scheduled to
take place in Slovenia on 13 June.
The campaign for the election of seven Slovenes in the European
Parliament officially started today.
