RIJEKA, April 26 (Hina) - A vice president of the Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS), MP Damir Kajin, told a news conference on Monday that the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) brought fourth strong leaders at its assembly and that the
only opposition to that party today was the economy.

the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) brought fourth strong leaders at
its assembly and that the only opposition to that party today was the

Kajin said the HDZ leaders would have full support of party members
regardless of some differences in opinion regarding relations with the
Hague-based war crimes tribunal. He said that those who did not have
respect for the HDZ would not stand chance on national or local
elections.
Commenting on media headlines according to which NATO would require
that the decision on the international engagement of the Croatian
Armed Forces be made by the government instead of parliament, Kajin
said that for that the Constitution needed to be amended.
