BELGRADE, April 16 (Hina) - Two candidates for the Serbian presidential election scheduled for June 13, vice president of the Serb Radical Party Tomislav Nikolic and Democratic Party President Boris Tadic, announced their candidacies
to the state electoral commission on Friday.

election scheduled for June 13, vice president of the Serb Radical
Party Tomislav Nikolic and Democratic Party President Boris Tadic,
announced their candidacies to the state electoral commission on

Nikolic enclosed 17,000 signatures of the citizens who support his
candidacy, while Tadic managed to collect about 16,000 signatures.
In order to announce his candidacy, the candidate must collect at
least 10,000 signatures.
So far, the candidacies have been announced by the head of the
Socialist Party General Committee Ivica Dacic, Popilar Peasant Party
president Marijan Risticevic, Serb Unity Party president Borislav
Pelevic, and some other officials from non-parliamentary parties.
The parties of the ruling coalitions agreed to announce Serbian
EconomyMinister Dragan Marsicanin as their candidate. His candidacy is
yet to be confirmed.
In line with the decision of the electoral commission, the deadline
for submitting candidacies for the presidential elections is May 23
and the final list of candidates will be formulated on May 28.
