The minister gave a talk at the Belgian Royal Institute for International Relations on the subject "Croatia's Accession to the European Union: A 3D View". In attendance were about a hundred diplomats, political analysts, university teachers and lawyers.
Grabar-Kitarovic underlined that during membership talks with the EU Croatia would resolutely continue with the reforms, and that through dialogue with the public the government would point to the difficulties and advantages EU membership would bring.
Asked about the problem of delimitation of the sea border with Slovenia, the minister said that Croatia had put forward a proposal to Slovenia for the matter to be referred to an international judicial body.
On Friday, Grabar-Kitarovic is scheduled to meet NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer at NATO headquarters in Brussels for talks on Croatia's preparations for alliance membership and the participation of Croatian troops in international peacekeeping operations.
