The chat with Rehn was organised simultaneously in five cities in countries covered by the Stabilisation and Association process (SAp) -- Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia-Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania as well as in Kosovo.
The goal of the on-line chat was to encourage dialogue and understanding among the youth from the SAp countries, said the spokeswoman of the European Commission Delegation to Croatia, Mirela Rasic.
"We wish to tell these young people that partnership with the EU is in their countries' interests, and not just in the interests of the Union's members," she said at the Bogdan Ogrizovic Library in Zagreb.
Rasic presented the EC Delegation's new web portal "EU for the Young" with information about the Union and the youth programmes it offers.
