The fourth annual summer school focuses on the preservation of peace in the Balkans. It pooled 45 participants from Southeast Europe and ends on July 14.
Mesic said the issues the summer school was addressing were vital for the region because they were related to the unification of Europe.
Atlantic Council Croatia was founded on 26 May 2000, when it joined the Atlantic Treaty Association, a nongovernmental organisation active in all NATO and Partnership for Peace member countries which supports, among other things, Croatia's Euro-Atlantic integration.
