The DSHV dismissed claims by the SRS that the father of Minister Ivana Dulic Markovic was the founder of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party in Subotica, saying that the HDZ had never established a branch in Subotica.
The DSHV has been representing the interests of Croats in Serbia since 1990 in line with national legislation, the party said, adding that the minister's father did not take part in its establishment.
Apart from reactions by the DSHV and the G17 party, whose member the minister is, there have been no other official reactions on the case in Serbia.
Officials of the Serbian Radical Party of Hague tribunal indictee Vojislav Seselj have several times attacked the agriculture minister over her Croat background, and last Monday they did so by claiming that her father was the founder of the HDZ branch in Subotica.
