SARAJEVO, June 14 (Hina) - A former deputy director of the
Interpol office in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Asim Fazlic, was on Tuesday acquitted of
the accusations of abuse of office before the Court of Bosnia-Herzegovina. The panel of judges chaired by Judge Sussane Moller dropped all the
charges including the abuse of office, and unlawful distribution and covering
of classified information.
The panel ruled that prosecutors had not managed to collect enough
evidence to corroborate allegations from the indictment, based on a statement
of only one witness, and all other pieces of evidence were indirect.
The ruling is subject to appeal.
