Cornelius Ochmann said that the event, which would be held on 3-4 June, would not focus on the necessity of Croatia's membership in the EU but on what would happen after the country's admission to the European bloc and on impact its admission would produce on the entire region.
The event will tackle regional issues relating to what will happen with Albania, Kosovo and Bosnia-Herzegovina after Croatia joins the Union. We shall discuss how Croatia can positively influence the entire region, Ochmann said.
Croatian Foreign Ministry State Secretary Gordan Bakota said Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel, Bulgarian Prime Minister Simeon Saxe Coburg-Gotha, Montenegro's Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic, and Slovenia's Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel were expected to attend. The full list of guests is not yet known, he added.
