Seks was at the helm of a Croatian delegation that attended Sunday's inaugural Mass of Pope Benedict XVI in the Vatican. After the Mass, the pope granted an audience to state delegations, including the Croatian, in St. Peter's Basilica.
The Sabor Speaker told reporters in Zagreb on Monday that on that occasion he invited Pope Joseph Ratzinger to visit Croatia and that the new pontiff said he loved Croatia very much.
Seks described his audience with the pope as a very touching and impressive event.
The Croatian delegation also included Deputy Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor and the chief-of-staff of President Stjepan Mesic's cabinet, Hrvoje Cvitanovic.
