The IDS-SDP coalition in the largest Istrian city won 11 seats in the city's 26-seat assembly. The list led by independent candidate Loredana Stok won five seats, the HSU and the Istrian Democratic Forum (IDF) won four seats each, while the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and the HNS-HSS and the Green party coalition each won one seat.
The IDS-SDP coalition is the winner of Sunday's local elections, but it has not gained enough seats to be able to form government on its own in Pula. That's why Drandic held talks with the HSU representatives on a possible post-election coalition.
The head of the HSU slate, Vesna Petrovic, said her party was willing to enter into a coalition with the IDS to form a new government in the city.
