The Rijeka election commission on Monday released the final unofficial results according to which 39,161 people (30.02) went to the polls.
The president of the election commission, Vlado Skorup, told a news conference that the SDP-HNS-IDS-HSU-HSS-LS-ARS-SDA coalition won 48.74 percent of the vote and 19 seats in the Rijeka City Council.
The coalition led by the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ-HD-HKDU-DC) won 17.99 percent of the vote (seven seats), the local PGS-HSLS-Green Party coalition 9.33 percent (three seats), the party called Bebic Vladimir - Third Croatian Bloc 6.5 percent and the Croatian Party of Rights 6.66 percent, each winning two seats in the city council.
