Union commissioner Ivica Rogic said on Thursday that the protesters spent the night in the open despite bad weather and added that the protest would continue until their demands were met.
The leaders of all trade unions joined into the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (SSSH) will hold a news conference on this case on Friday. The company's workers are expected to stage a major protest rally in St. Mark's Square on Saturday.
Last Thursday about 300 disgruntled "Sljeme" workers began demonstrations accusing the current owner of "Finagra", a company which holds 73 percent of "Sljeme" shares, of planning to cease production and close the company after it bought shares from the HFP.
If no agreement is reached, the workers will demand that Finagra return the shares to the HFP.
