Economy minister says meeting with MOL was about INA's development

Autor: mses
ZAGREB, Feb 8 (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Djuro Popijac said on Tuesday that a meeting which the government and Hungary's MOL held yesterday revolved around the further strategic development of the Croatian oil and gas group INA.

"The talks focused on the forthcoming activities pertaining to oil refineries and further strategic development," the minister said after a government session today, declining to give any more information about yesterday's meeting.

After meeting Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Zagreb earlier in the day, Croatian Premier Jadranka Kosor said that she and Popijac had held a very good meeting with the chairman of the MOL board of directors, Zsolt Hernadi, on Monday. She also fell short of giving details about the meeting.

Finance Minister Martina Dalic dismissed the possibility of conflict of interest in the event of the appointment of her husband, Niko Dalic, to the management of INA.

"Private owners are majority owners of INA, INA's executives decide on management members. Niko Dalic is my husband and he has pursued a very successful career so far and I hope that it will be so in future and that my post will not be an obstacle," Dalic told reporters after the government's session.
