(Hina) - Thirty-three investors have expressed their
interest in the construction of mini hydro power plants in Karlovac
County, and 25 of them have been granted a preliminary energy licence
by the Croatian Economy and Entrepreneurship Ministry, a workshop on
the international project for the promotion of small power plants
(SMART) heard in Karlovac on Wednesday.
A 144-page handbook with guidelines for potential investors was published and presented today.
Investors must make 66 steps in the procedure to be granted a concession and the status of privileged producer.
SMART includes seven institutions from five European countries.
The value of the project is 858,000 euros and half of it is covered by the EU.
