According to figures released by the Croatian National Bank on Friday, stagnation continued in loans approved to households in November.
The central bank's analysts say that negative trends in the real sector in the economy, primarily in the labour market, still have a negative impact on household loan demand.
The volume of bank loans granted to the non-banking sector in November nominally rose 2.1 percent on the month. If the depreciation of the kuna towards the euro and the Swiss franc is excluded, the placement growth was even lower (0.8 percent).
Household loans totalled HRK 126.5 billion at the end of November. Housing loans accounted for 45 percent of total household loans.
