The results of the competition were presented at a meeting of the CEI task force for small and medium enterprises in Trieste on Tuesday.
The Porec-based company "Ekoloski inzenjering" is one of the five companies that were awarded 20,000 euros to be used in the next year for education and equipment. Sixty-six companies from ten CEI countries took part in the competition.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony to be held in Trieste on 23 June as part of an annual conference on cooperation among CEI countries.
"Ekoloski inzenjering" specialises in research and development in the area of biotechnology and ecology.
The CEI is a regional association established in 1992. It has 17 members - Albania, Austria, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro, and Ukraine.
